What do you do when a beautiful thing such as love becomes your greatest curse?
Sunday School Tip #2
Its been a long while but tip #2:
Opening a card is a completely different thing from flipping over a card.
There are so many things to be thankful for.

Will the feeling of loneliness ever get easier?
Why do I feel so alone when God promises He is always with me?
Counselling and Counsellors
My first ever counselling course has exposed a really challenging but understandable fact about the job scope of Counsellors.
So easily people think counsellors are a one stop avenue for life answers or directions for those who have become lost in the journey of life but no. Counsellors listen and by listening to your story, view you as a worthy and important individual. And therefore as individuals, you should be empowered to make your own decisions. Because if you are just listening or expecting others to give you the do’s and don’ts for the important things in your life, you are not a real person and you have the inability to make choices for your own life.
Counsellors are able to brainstorm with the person possible options the client would like to do. The act of providing straight out simple answers is considered Rescuing. Rescuing doesn’t empower the individual. Instead it provides a quite fix answer that misses out on the needed tough struggles of wrestling with a problem and learning the strategies to deal with an en-counted issue.
And it really annoys me when people (and I admit I recently use to be one of them) that think counsellors are useless because “they do not do anything productive, all they do is listen/respond back what I said and therefore overall, not specifically or quickly helpful to solving the problem”. The power of listening is undervalued and it is truly not easy work to be constantly available and furthermore to listen to the worries of others.
Thats my little rant for today and I am again reminded that every job has its pros and cons. No job comes perfect.

It really does take a lot of courage for a person to recognise a change is needed and to really do something about altering their situation.
Too often and in particularly recently, I know that things in my life need a change, but instead of working towards it, I have remained stagnant and even more, just complained about the situation. So I really admire those that have undertaken steps to change their present situations. To go against the fear, the laziness and to undertake the courage to make the better life that they desire.
I hope I will be able to gain that courage one day. The first thing on top of that list will be to move out so I can be independent.
